Recent Adventures

I thought I should probably say a little something something before my Christmas post (obviously)...
THE PARTIES are in full swing...

I got to go to one of my AMAZING friends Christmas Party.... Ashley and her mom put everything together.  TONS of food, candy, and friends.  Ashley and I were roommates my sophomore year of college. She was one roommate I automatically hit it off with.  We have a blast every time we get together.  I am so glad we have kept in touch over the years despite our crazy life's.

NEXT UP.... The SITUATION.
This weekend was well... to say the least a hot mess... Let's start from the beginning.
FRIDAY
Amber is finally home from San Diego, and Maddie is home from Mississippi for a few weeks. We went ice skating and stayed pretty late at the ice rink.  Following our adventure on the ice (aka Arizona girls do NOT know how to ice skate)
We went to Amber's to watch Crazy, Stupid Love... By far one of my favorites I mean who wouldn't want to watch THIS hottie
Ryan Gosling?
He is such a babe... Well I left Amber's at about 3 AM to go home, it was pretty chilly outside (yes it gets cold in AZ) I was so excited to go crawl in my bed.  I walk through the garage because that is usually the door we keep open, BUT to my surprise the door was locked, YEP LOCKED! Now this has happened a few times since I have moved back home and it always happens to be my step-dad that locks one of the kids out. First thing I do is call my little brother Sam, it rings and rings and rings, ok moved on to the next sibling in my house my step bro called and called.  20 minutes go by.... I am freezing and exhausted but didn't want to wake up the parents. FINALLY my step bro answered his phone and let me know! Woooo! I was a happy girl.

SATURDAY...........
only gets better!
So I had a few friends graduate this December and well went to help them celebrate their accomplishments.  I went to oldtown Scottsdale around 11 and I couldn't find a parking spot for the life of me UNTIL I saw all these people parking in this parking lot, so I parked and took only my phone, ID, and keys.  I walked to my car with a few friends, being nice offered them a ride... I got to the parking lot and well my car wasn't THERE!!! I saw a tow truck pull up to the lot and asked if he towed my car and he said they had towed almost 20 cars from this lot tonight!!!! I was pissed to say the least, it was raining too so I called the company and couldn't pick up my car until the morning. Mind you it was about 3 AM by this time. Luckily my guy friend paid for my cab ride to Tempe which is about halfway to Gilbert.  We got to Tempe at about 4AM and there I was stranded, and had to pick up my car in Phoenix by 8 AM.  Well I once AGAIN called my brothers... My little brother Sam answered and said my step bro Chris was still up.  So I called him and HE IS JUST THE BEST, he drove 20 minutes to come get his sister.  He was my life saver.  I crawled into bed at 5 AM and had to wake up at 7AM to go pick up my car.  I went to wake up my mom and she was kind enough to take me.  I was so LUCKY to pay $93 to get my car back.  It was so annoying and so sad I had to pay because well it's Christmas time and all.  But I guess you live and learn.

Running on two hours of sleep that day, I was beyond exhausted and thank goodness for Sunday nights with the fam...

We had homemade soup, made a fire, and watched Christmas movies and America's Funniest Home Videos like we usually do on Sunday's.
It was a good way to end a hectic sleepless weekend. But as I sat there with my family on Sunday I realized how grateful I am for my family and everyone that is in my life.  Despite paying $93 for my car and not sleeping much this weekend, I am extremely blessed.
Until next time....xoxo

Quick Update

Here we gooooo...
Let me break down the happenings of the last month or so.
We all know this time of the year is hectic and just simply crazy... before Thanksgiving I went to California for the day with work.  We got to enjoy the cute city of San Clemente, very close to Newport Beach where my mom grew up.  I went there to get some interviews and testimonials from an Affiliate of our company.  I had such a blast! We went to Fisherman's Pier for lunch.  Best Fish n Chips I have ever had.

Next on the list was THANKSGIVING.
Well, ever since we moved to AZ the Childress traditions have somewhat
changed.  This Thanksgiving we had our second family The Brady's drive down from Utah.  I have known them since I was about 8.  Our families have done so many things together, celebrate holidays and our annual trips to Mexico each summer.  It was so good to have them here.  We just hung out and ate WAYYYYY too much and of course the girls went shopping every single day. I did some major damage at Nordstorm including this purchase.
I was exhausted and my feet were ready to fall off due to these cute shoes.
Target... an awesome buy!

After that weekend it was back to business with some new clothes and accessories ( early Christmas to me)
Well reflecting back on this past year, not like I didn't have enough changes, I went for it....
MY DARK HAIR IS BACK...

I still can't believe I did it, I haven't had dark hair in such a long time but its been a good change for me.

Last but not least (for NOW) this past weekend I got to see my old roomie! I can't describe how much I miss here and miss living with her.  She was here visiting and well her dog had puppies about 4 weeks ago.
Meet the purebred boxers.....

Yep, I fell in LOVE with this one.
More to come...

Halloween Weekend

BOO!
"In Girl World, Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it."
If you have watched Mean Girls, you know this quote and most of us know its the TRUTH!

But here is the breakdown of my Halloween....

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays... not only for the candy (everyone knows I love chocolate) but because it is my Grandma's birthday.  I have some of the most amazing memories of going Trick or Treating with her growing up.  She dresses up EVERY year as a Witch, and I am not kidding she has never missed a year.  I love this about her.

As for me this year my Halloween weekend was PACKED with things to do...
Let's start with Friday night.....
OUTFIT #1- I dressed up as a football player, in a cute girl way (Of course).  I wore my little brothers jersey from Jordan High, his tall socks, and topped it off with the famous shoe polish on my face.
That night I went out with some of my best guy friends from College and got to see all the wonderful, crazy, and kind of scandalous outfits on Mill Ave.

Saturday morning I got ready to go tailgate with one of my best friends Ashley.  Her husband plays for ASU so we went to show our support as Alum.

OUTFIT #2- Hippy Mode
(ok so maybe it looks a little like something a Kardashian would wear)
But on Saturday there is one of the BIGGEST LDS parties of the year held at the Chandler Airport.
It was so fun, everyone from around the valley goes. I got to see so many friends that I hadn't see in so long.

It was a long night, stayed up late catchin up, hanging out and dancing.

Sunday night I got to carve a pumpkin, and the best part is baking the seeds. I seriously think that is all I ate on Monday.

I hope everyone had a safe Halloween and enjoyed it as much as I did....
Until next time...

I AM BACK IN THE BLOGGING WORLD!  Welcome back into my crazy life-post college that is :)
AND I promise this blog will be better then my last.  Hold me to it people!  Well 2011 has been a busy year for me... I graduated from ASU, and am now in the wonderful workforce.  It has felt so surreal that my college years are over, believe me I miss them already.  I had the time of my life be a Sun Devil, so of the hardest years but the best! I learned so much about life and am so grateful for all the opportunities I had at school.

Now my life consists of being an real life adult as I like to call it.... I work for two amazing companies that I truly enjoy ...
I have felt very blessed being offered a job even before I was done with school.

As for now I am living at my parents house.  Haven't lived there for 4 years and all I can say is WOW! I love my parents and all but I really miss having my own place. But I will survive for now :)

I just made the biggest purchase of my life so far.... A CAR, the white phantom is gone.
I traded that baby in for a 2011 Chevy Malibu. I love my new car and got the most amazing deal on it.

More updates to come! :)
